All monies received are used to further the aims of the Calgary Block Parent Association:

• to establish and maintain the safety network
• to educate citizens, especially children, about Block Parent and personal safety
• all donations will be acknowledged with tax receipts - donations are accepted by:
  -all major credit cards, cheques, United Way donor options or in lieu of calendar purchase.

Calendar Sales

To raise enough money to operate the Program using our present volunteer base would be impossible. The majority of our volunteers are already exhausted from raising funds for the various activities their children are involved in, including school. To expect these volunteers to take on the additional burden of fundraising for Block Parent would be unacceptable and could jeopardize the Program itself. Block Parent employees, managed by Canadian Integrated Funding, sell calendars and solicit donations, door-to-door and through telemarketing.

Business Donations

Over 300 businesses responded to requests for support last year, and contributed over $40,000 in donations ranging from $25 to $500. Businesses donating over $200, receive recognition in the calendar.
