Michelle Warkentin

The Calgary Block Parent Association has been very busy this year, concentrating on growing its Education Program. We are working hard to find new and better ways of delivering our popular safety presentations to elementary school children throughout Calgary. New this year is the addition of Michelle Warkentin to the Block Parent team. Michelle is a professional puppeteer, and will be conducting the school programs in a very fun and interactive way. The Block Parent personal safety messages will be delivered by Michelle and her team of beautifully crafted puppets. With this and other new program developments, we will be able to present to more than 5,000 students in Calgary every month of the 2009/10 school year!

MICHELLE’S KEY MESSAGES:

  • trust that feeling you have when something isn’t right
  • know what a Block Parent sign means
  • know that it’s critical we have more Block Parents in Calgary
